Product Overview
HydroShield® LT is a corrosion inhibitor designed for protecting open loop water systems during lay-up periods, particularly in cooling towers that are drained during winter to prevent freezing damage. The product helps protect metal surfaces from flash corrosion that can occur when wet metal is exposed to oxygen after draining.
HydroShield® LT also helps reduce bacterial growth during lay-up by avoiding ingredients that commonly promote biological activity. The formulation does not contain volatile inhibitors, oils, nitrite, molybdate, phosphates, or phosphonates. This provides corrosion protection without introducing materials that could increase microbial growth or create unwanted deposits in the system.
The product is nonhazardous, nonregulated for transportation, and biodegradable. HydroShield® LT helps maintain system integrity during extended downtime and supports smoother start-up when systems return to service.
