Product Overview

ResinClean is a resin cleaner designed to remove iron oxide fouling and other insoluble matter from the surface of cation exchange resins. It can be used for both sodium cycle and hydrogen cycle cation resins, making it suitable for water softeners, dealkalizers, and deionizers.

ResinClean dissolves quickly in water and brine and can be fed directly into the brine tank before regeneration. It helps improve regeneration effectiveness, extend service runs, reduce regeneration frequency, and support consistent effluent water quality in boiler and process operations.

This product also aids in prolonging resin life by helping keep the bead surface free from fouling. ResinClean should be stored properly and containers should not be left open, since the product can oxidize in air and become less effective.

Key Features

  • Removes iron oxide fouling from cation exchange resins
  • Helps remove insoluble matter from resin bead surfaces
  • For sodium cycle and hydrogen cycle cation resins
  • Fast dissolution in water and brine
  • Can be added directly to the brine solution
  • Can be fed into the brine tank before regeneration
  • Helps improve regeneration effectiveness
  • Extends service runs by reducing regeneration frequency
  • Helps maintain consistent effluent water quality
  • Does not compact resin like citric acid based cleaners

Applications

  • Water softeners with sodium cycle cation resins
  • Dealkalizers with hydrogen cycle cation resins
  • Deionizers with hydrogen cycle cation resins
  • Boiler water treatment systems
  • Process water systems
  • Commercial and industrial water treatment applications

Usage and Dosage

  • For severely fouled resins: add 1 lb of ResinClean for every cubic foot of resin directly into the brine well
  • For maintenance: add 1/2 lb of ResinClean for every 100 lbs of salt
  • Add directly into the brine tank just before regeneration
  • ResinClean can also be added directly to the brine solution
  • Do not leave containers open, as the product can oxidize in air and become less effective
  • Consult SDS before handling, storage, or use

Storage and Compatibility

  • Store away from freezing, moisture, and high temperatures
  • Compatible with polyethylene, mild steel, and stainless steel
  • Do not use with yellow metal alloys, aluminum, or zinc
